Cymbrogi Border Collies

Please come in and meet my dogs.  At this time Cymbrogi consists of only two dogs.  The matriarch Chime who recently celebrated her 16th birthday and her son REM.   

Cymbrogi Border Collies is located in Carp, ON in the western part of Ottawa. 

Cymbrogi Border Collies came into existence 15 years ago with the purchase of Chime as the foundation brood bitch.  Since then the focus has changed as I do not currently have the time or resources for raising puppies.  Currently Cymbrogi has one stud dog available.

My focus has always been on temperament and structure.  I look for a willing, focussed easy to please dog.  One with the drive and willingness to do anything requested of it.   And of course a sound, balanced dog with moderate angulation and moderate bone to be able to do any tasks asked of them. 

I have been involved in showing, training and raising dogs for over 25.  I got started in the dog show game in 1979 with the purchase of a Siberian Husky.  I titled several Siberian Huskies in obedience and conformation before I was introduced to agility and flyball in 1986.  One of my Siberians was the first Sibe to be titled in flyball. Unfortunately she never made it to her FDCH so she is not in the history books. 

My love affair with Border Collies started when I met Chime’s mother Fling MADC, FDCH.  I knew very soon that I had to have one of her pups.  Chime was my pick from Fling’s first litter.   

I compete in agility, flyball and disc with my dogs.   We go out and have fun.  I am not the most dedicated trainer in the world and so my dogs and I go out and have fun and  enjoy what titles we can get. 

I do some herding training with my dogs just to ensure that they still retain some herding instinct.  Time constraints and lack of access to livestock prevents me from going any further with this..
